After about 1 month off from the regular season, MPC started the 2nd half on the right foot. With a handful of chances wasted away in the first half, MPC continued to move the ball well through out the game, although the field conditions did not help much for either team. In the 2nd half MPC began to control the game a little more, limiting Zoinks FC to dangerous counter attacks. MPC's first goal came on a nice give and go between Igor & Alcides. The chipped through ball was put over the defense to Igor, who took one touch towards goal and struck it low and hard at the near post to make it 1-0 MPC. Once that goal was conceeded, Zoinks FC began to move forward in search for the tieing goal. Zoinks FC had a few chances through out the game, but rarely challenged the MPC keeper. The 2nd and final goal of the game came on a nice leading ball up the left side by Joel. The ball was controlled by Paul Tomas, who slotted a pass through to Alcides who struck a shot from the top of the box and beat the Zoinks FC keeper on an odd bounce.

Their will be no Labor Day weekend games, but MPC will return to action on:
